AS WILD AS THE FELLS

The knowledge and wisdom of the last Fell Pony breeders high in the Cumbrian Fells is being preserved on film thanks to a heritage Lottery grant awarded to Dreamtime Film through The Fell Pony Breeders Association.

Shot in HD on our Sony EX1 camera, As Wild as the Fells is a collection of 6 conversations with Fell Pony breeders whose herds run high in the Howgill and Lakeland fells.

The Fell Pony is on the Rare Breeds endangered list, but the breeders themselves are even more endangered, with few of the younger generation prepared to carry on the tradition of running  semi-feral herds.

Currently in production and post production. Due to  be released via the web late summer 2010.

ROLLING THUNDER
Documentary currently in Post Production.

A waggon and horses pounding along a busy dual carriageway is an awesome sight, and the sound of iron tyres and horses hooves is enough to stop people in their tracks. It is the sound of ROLLING THUNDER.

A unique journey shot whilst travelling with horses by road to Appleby fair, the largest horse fair in Europe. It uncovers the history of the fair as well as the different groups who society labels as Gypsies. With an original soundtrack, the film incorporates 8mm and DV footage of the journey, as well as interviews and video diary by Noeline Kavanagh with the key players including Billy Welsh Head Gypsy, Chief Superintendent Andy Davidson of Cumbria Police, Kevin Douglas Chief Exec Eden District Council, the BBC's Jake Bower and Travellers and horsemen from many cultural backgrounds.
